Clearer Tomorrow ~~~ Looking up into the beautiful clouded sky An Angel stopped as she passed by Asking the woman why she was so blue Yes the Angel asked, even though she already knew The women said, "I am not sad" and went on to say, "see my smile, I am enjoying this day." The Angel reached up to gently touch her face And said, "Well look here, a tear seems to have left its trace The woman looked downward and sadly said, "I wasn't aware that I was crying, displaying all of my sorrow For now I am praying for a clearer tomorrow It is only my heart that is broken and weeping The pain will ease, I am sure when I am sleeping The Angel said that for her she would promise to pray That the Lord will help to guide and show her the way The woman cried at how weak she found out that she was When faced with temptation, caused by her beautiful love The Angel soothed her, like a humble squire And said, "Yes I know your love brought much desire, So consider not only your weaknesses you own Instead think of the strengths that you also have shown Tis difficult to be human with a heart that loves so Some one so special, that you have come to know Just remember to pray and the spirit shall descend And it is after all, everlasting life that we seek in the end The woman thanked the Angel, for the kind words that she shared And then the Angel left, leaving the woman very scared Being now left alone to do what is right Remembering that the Lord is there day and night Looking back up at the clouds above her in the sky She cried tears of thanks for the Angel who stopped by
